BaFin Opens Investigation into Unauthorized Financial Website Operators JPM Broker and HighTrustCapital

The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) warns consumers about the websites jpmbroker.com and brokerinteraktive.com.
BaFin suspects the unknown operators of the website jpmbroker.com of offering consumers financial and investment services without the required authorisation. On the website, the operators refer to themselves as JPM Broker and offer the opportunity to trade in various financial instruments. JPM Broker, which claims to have its registered office in the United Kingdom, is not supervised by BaFin.
In addition, the German watchdog has information that HighTrustCapital is offering financial services on its website brokerinteraktive.com without the required authorisation. The company is not supervised by BaFin.
Anyone conducting banking business or providing financial or investment services in Germany may do so only with authorisation from BaFin. However, some companies offer these services without the required authorisation. Information on whether a particular company has been granted authorisation by BaFin can be found in BaFin's database of companies.
