Baird announced on Friday that it has appointed Chip Walker as Private Wealth Management Market Director.

According to a press release, Baird, an employee-owned, international wealth management, asset management, investment banking/capital markets and private equity firm, has named Chip Walker as its Private Wealth Management Market Director, overseeing the St. Louis, Mo. region.

Prior to the appointment at Baird, Walker spent nearly 30 years of experience at Wells Fargo and its legacy firms, starting as a Financial Advisor at Wheat First Butcher Singer in Virginia in 1992.

Walker has served as Regional Sales Manager, Director of Managed Accounts, Director of Best Practices and Practice Management, Director of FA Integration, and, most recently, Managing Director of Field Strategy and Communication.

“We're thrilled to welcome Chip to the Baird family,” said Erik Dahlberg, Executive Director of Baird's Private Wealth Management business. “We look forward to watching him thrive alongside John Mabee, Vice Chairman of PWM, and Dan Sullivan, Branch Manager, in attracting and developing successful, experienced advisors through recruitment efforts.”

“I am very excited to join Baird to help grow our presence in the St. Louis region,” said Walker. “St. Louis has been home for my family for the last 13 years and is one of the great brokerage cities in the financial services industry. Baird's client-centric culture and respect for the important role that Financial Advisors play in helping clients reach their life goals fit perfectly with the Midwest culture and 'Show Me' slogan for Missouri.”
