Bank of England Adds Martin Pluves to Financial Market Infrastructure Board

The Bank of England announced on Monday the appointment of Martin Pluves as an external member of its Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI) Board, a decision-making executive committee reporting to the Governor.
According to the official press release, the FMI Board plays a key part in oversight of the Bank’s financial market infrastructure policy and supervision and helps ensure the Bank meets its financial stability objective.
Currently, the Board includes three external members appointed by the Governor.
Previously, Martin was CEO at Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) Markets Standards Board Limited. Prior to that, he has held multiple roles at LCH Ltd from November 2009 to November 2019, ending up with the position of CEO. Moreover, he has been with PA Consulting Group for 14 years.
In June, Fazzaco reported that Sam Woods has been reappointed by Her Majesty the Queen as Deputy Governor of the Bank of England, and Chief Executive of the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA).
