Barclays, a British multinational investment bank and financial services company, announced that it has appointed Florent Rodier as Head of Exotic Derivatives, Asia Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, he will report to Matt Pecot, Head of Markets Asia Pacific, and Ashish Prabhudesai, Head of Global Equity Derivatives Exotics.

Prior to joining Barclays, Mr Rodier served as Head of Capital Realease Unit for APAC in Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong. Mr Rodier obtained his bachelor degree and master degree from Ecole Polytechnique.

"We are delighted that Florent has joined Barclays," said Matt Pecot. "As we continue to deliver for our clients, his appointment is also a clear demonstration of our focus and commitment to invest for growth in Asia Pacific."

"Florent's track record and expertise are second to none and we are thrilled to have him on board," said Ashish Prabhudesai. "He brings with him strong industry experience which will be vital as we continue our plans to grow our global derivatives business in the region."
