Barclays Secures Lucy Demery as Managing Director

Barclays Investment Bank recently announced that it has appointed Lucy Demery as a Managing Director, effective July 2021.

In her new role, Lucy will be responsible for the coverage of Fintech clients across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and will report to Joel Fleck, Co-head of FIG Banking, Americas and Global Head of Fintech Banking.

As seen on her Linkedin profile, Lucy joins Barclays from Standard Chartered Bank where she previously served as Global Head of Fintech Banking. Before this role, J.P. Morgan utilised her service as an investment banker from 2013 to 2015. She also spent two years as M&A lawyer with Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. 

Commenting on this new appointment, the bank said, "At an exciting time for Fintech expansion in Europe, we are delighted to announce that Lucy Demery will be joining Barclays in July to broaden our coverage of European Fintech clients."
