BGC Partners Taps Jason W. Hauf as Chief Financial Officer

BGC Partners (BGC), a leading global brokerage and fintech firm connected with Cantor Fitzgerald, L.P., has appointed Jason W. Hauf as Chief Financial Officer.

Hauf will take over the job from Steven Bisgay and report directly to Howard W. Lutnick, Chairman and CEO of BGC.  Bisgay will remain his role of CFO and Executive Managing Director of Cantor Fitzgerald, L.P.

Hauf has extensive experience in financial management and public accounting. Prior to BGC, he served as Managing Director and CFO at Exos Financial, where he helped to build an investment bank and technology company. Previously, he worked as Managing Director and CFO of RBS Corporate & Institutional Banking, Americas. He had also held leadership positions at AIG Financial Products Corp., a finance company, and Coopers & Lybrand, an accounting firm.

Lutnick said: "As we embark on the expansion of BGC's digital transformation, including FMX and cryptocurrencies, it is important for our Company to be at the forefront of this evolution. Jason's in-depth knowledge of financial services organizations will strengthen our management team and ensure we are well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of our stakeholders."

This is the first high-level appointment notice issued by the BGC this year. Last year, the company also announced only one appointment, hiring Arthur U. Mbanefo to its board of directors.
