Binance Australia CEO Leigh Travers Steps Down, Ben Rose Succeeds

Fazzaco learned that Leigh Travers has resigned from the position of CEO at Binance Australia, succeeded by Ben Rose, who has served Binance New Zealand as General Manager (NZ and Pacific Islands) for around the past one year.
"In the coming weeks, I will be working closely with Ben to ensure a smooth handover of operations in the region and introduce him to our network of partners and stakeholders that we work with across the community as part of Binance’s commitment to growing the Web3 industry," Leigh Travers posted on LinkedIn today.
Based his LinkedIn profile, Leigh joined Binance Australia as CEO in August 2021. He will continue to serve the crypto exchange as a Director of Binance Australia Derivatives.
"I am looking forward to watching the growth of the Web3 industry and of Binance and will continue to support the Binance business as a Director of Binance Australia Derivatives," he continued.
Prior to Binance, Leigh has spent over seven years at DigitalX Limited, a technology and investment company focused on digital asset funds management and RegTech. During this period, he worked as Prop Trader initially, then rose to Vice President Business Development and Investor Relations after around two years. He became Executive Director at the firm in July 2016.
Between February 2015 and September 2019, Leigh was at Blockchain Australia. He joined the company as Vice Chairman and Director. Previously, he has been part of Euroz Securities Ltd, a diversified financial services company, as Investment Advisor for over seven years.
