Binance Singapore Appoints Richard Teng as CEO

Binance, a leading Blockchain ecosystem and digital asset exchange, has announced ita appointment of Richard Teng to head its operation in Singapore.
Mr Teng brings with three decades of in financial center and regulatory thought leadership holding Board and C-suite positions, including of globally acclaimed central bank, award-winning regulator and global exchange.

Prior to joining Binance, Mr Teng most recently served as the CEO of Financial Services Regulatory Authority at Abu Dhabi global Market, where he spent for more than 6 years. Before this role, SGX utilised his services as Chief Regulatory Officer from September 2007 to February 2015. During his tenure at SGX, he was responsible for leading the Regulation Group that works closely with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to uphold a fair, orderly and transparent market.
Mr Teng's career began at MAS, where he accumlated regulatory experience across banking, insurance and capital market segments. Then he left the regulator after 13 years. Currently, he holds different roles in companies including Global FinTech Institute, Blockchain Association Singapore (BAS) and Lulu Financial Group.
Recently, Binance has announced to improve its KYC requirements in light of evolving global compliance standards to enhance user protections and provide a safe crypto environment for everyone.
