BitMine Immersion Accelerates Ethereum Acquisition, Grows Holding to 3.86 Million ETH
BitMine Immersion Technology (BMNR), the largest corporate holder of Ethereum, has significantly increased its ETH purchases, acquiring 138,452 tokens in just one week leading up to December 7, 2025. This aggressive move marks a 156% surge in its weekly acquisition rate, reflecting the company's heightened confidence in Ethereum's potential. The latest addition brings BitMine's total Ethereum holdings to over 3.86 million ETH, or more than 3.2% of the total circulating supply.
This rapid accumulation strategy sets BitMine apart from other publicly traded companies that tend to focus on Bitcoin, reinforcing the company's belief that Ethereum is a key pillar of the future decentralized financial ecosystem. The acquisition follows the recent successful activation of Ethereum's Fusaka upgrade on December 3, 2025, which is expected to significantly enhance Ethereum's scalability, security, and usability for large-scale decentralized applications.
According to BitMine's Chairman, Thomas Lee, the company's decision to accelerate its ETH accumulation is driven by multiple factors, including the expectation of increased institutional adoption of Ethereum and anticipated changes in monetary policy by the Federal Reserve. BitMine is positioning itself to capitalize on the growing trend of asset tokenization on Ethereum's blockchain, anticipating a potential "Crypto Supercycle."
With its Ethereum treasury now valued at over $13.2 billion, BitMine is also preparing to launch its proprietary staking solution, The Made in America Validator Network (MAVAN), in early 2026. This network is designed to offer high-yield returns on the company's massive ETH holdings, further bolstering its financial position and providing a stable revenue stream from staking. BitMine's long-term goal is to acquire 5% of the total Ethereum supply, underscoring its unwavering commitment to the digital asset.
