Bitstamp Completes Cryptoasset Business Registration in the UK

The cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp announced yesterday that it has become one of a small number of crypto exchanges that have been recognized by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK.

The UK branch of the company Bitstamp U.K. Limited, has been added to the list of registered firms under the FCA, alongside Interactive Brokers Limited. This follows Hidden Road Partners​ and MoonPay getting registered by the watchdog around six months ago.

According to the offcial announcement, with the latest registration, Bitstamp now has 52 licenses and registrations globally, which further boslters the firm's position as one of the most secure and compliant crypto exchanges in the global market.

"The achievement acknowledges Bitstamp for our constant and unwavering commitment to operating at the highest standard. It additionally confirms that our platform offers compliant and secure access to cryptocurrencies in the UK, in accordance with the UK Money Laundering Regulations," Bitstamp noted.
