Blair Halliday Leaves Gemini to Take Managing Director, UK at Kraken

Fazzaco learned that Blair Halliday has ended his tenure at the leading cryptocurrency exchange Gemini, after spending over two years with the company. In addition, Halliday unveiled via social media that he has joined Kraken, one of the world's largest crypto exchanges, as Managing Director, UK.

Halliday will replace Curtis Ting, who has been appointed global senior managing director, covering multiple jurisdictions. In his new position, Halliday will oversee Kraken's commercial, regulatory and political relationships in the UK, as well as its 350-strong employee base.

Halliday brings over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry to Kraken. He initially joined Gemini in 2020 as the company's Chief Compliance Office for Europe. Prior to that, he served as Head of Compliance for EMEA region at Circle, a global financial technology firm.

During his career he has worked with other names such as JPMorgan, Paysafe, CashFlows and International Currency Exchange. The bulk of his career was spent at NatWest Group, where he started his career in 1998 as Business Associate, Credit Management.
