Blockchain Developer Zilliqa Names Mark Hemsley as Chairman of Its Board

Zilliqa Research Pte. Ltd., developers of the Zilliqa blockchain, announced that it has appointed Mark Hemsley as the company's Chairman of the Board.

As seen on his LinkedIn profile, Hemsley now holds part-time role as Corporate Advisor at Various Companies, and Non Executive Director at TP ICAP. Prior to that, Hemsley co-founded BATS Europe in 2008, where he served as CEO. During his tenure at the company, Hemsley spearheaded the acquisition and integration of Chi-X Europe, a move that made BATS Europe the continent's leading equities exchange operator. 

The company was acquired by leading global exchange group Cboe Global Markets, Inc. in 2017 and Hemsley joined with it, serving as President of Cboe Europe and Executive Vice President for three years.
