Blue Guardian Joins Other Prop Firms to Restrict Services for US Clients

Tighter regulations on prop trading in the U.S. are striking prop firms one by one. Blue Guardian has restricted new account registrations for U.S.-based clients, according to the firm's X post issued on Feb. 20.
This action applies to both U.S. residents and individuals with dual citizenship residing in the country. Existing U.S. clients, however, can continue trading without interruption until further notice, Blue Guardian noted in the post.
The company's customers outside the U.S. remain unaffected.
In response to SEC's attitudes towards prop trading, MetaQuotes is forcing the license holders of its platforms to either stop providing services in the US or risk losing their licenses. Whereas, many prop firms are starting to introduce alternative trading platforms. For example, Funding Pips is adding Match-Trader, cTrader, DXtrade, and TradeLocker to replace MT4/MT5.
"We recognize the complexities of this situation and are actively working to offer additional solutions for our valued US traders," Blue Guardian said in the post.
The company is scheduled to have DXtrade added by the end of this month to relaunch services for U.S. clients.
