French bank BNP Paribas (BNPP.PA) has named John Ferrara as Head of Institutional Investors Sales and Relationship Management, Americas for BNP Paribas Securities Services, the bank's wholly owned subsidiary.
In his new role, John will be based in New York, reporting to Dennis Bon, Head of BNP Paribas Securities Services in the Americas, as well as Alvaro Camunas, Global Head of Client Development for BNP Paribas Securities Services.
According to the official press release, John will also utilise his expertise to drive its growth and further develop corridors throughout the Americas regions in partnership with regional and global partners.
As seen on his Linkedin profile, John joined BNP Paribas Securities Services from citi, where he previously served as Director. Before this role, BISAM utilised his services as Global Head of Sales from February 2015 to March 2017, and then the company was acquired by FactSet, where he worked as Head of Sales, New York. Over the course of his career, John also spent time with many companies including Markit and Booz Allen Hamilton.
As Fazzaco reported earlier, BNP Paribas reported better than expected profit in the second quarter after bad loan provisions dipped and business remained buoyant in both investment and retail banking, amid torrid global markets and an economic slowdown.
