The agreement marks a significant step for Brooklyn Travel as it adopts BR-DGE’s payment orchestration platform to modernize its payment processes across its portfolio.

Under a three-year contract, BR-DGE will provide Brooklyn Travel with a centralized payment infrastructure designed to enhance connectivity with existing and new payment partners. This arrangement aims to bolster the travel group's platform resilience, facilitate transaction routing, and introduce alternative payment options such as installment plans and direct bank payments—features that align with evolving consumer preferences in the travel sector.

Brooklyn Travel, established in 1972, operates several specialized travel brands, including CruiseKings, Stewart Travel, Santa Claus Trips, and Villa Select. Its services range from luxury and family holidays to corporate travel. By integrating BR-DGE's solutions, Brooklyn Travel seeks to unify its payment processes, offering a streamlined experience for its customers across all brands.

BR-DGE’s modular platform provides access to over 400 payment methods and technologies, enabling Brooklyn Travel to maintain operational flexibility while expanding its acquiring connections. This solution aims to simplify integration across Brooklyn Travel’s acquired brands, enhancing the consistency of customer checkout experiences and supporting the group’s operational scalability.

The collaboration also positions Brooklyn Travel to navigate the anticipated growth in global travel bookings. Research from industry sources, including the World Travel & Tourism Council, projects a record year for the travel sector in 2024, with economic contributions expected to surpass $11 trillion globally. Meanwhile, data from Mastercard highlights increased consumer spending in the cruise and airline sectors despite broader economic challenges.

The partnership aligns with BR-DGE’s strategy to serve high-volume merchants in sectors such as travel. By addressing the complexities associated with managing disparate payment systems, the company aims to provide businesses like Brooklyn Travel with a unified infrastructure that supports growth and operational efficiency.

BR-DGE’s broader growth strategy includes expanding its presence in international markets, including the Asia-Pacific region, and forming partnerships with payment providers such as Trustly and PayPal. The company’s recently introduced white-label payment orchestration service allows businesses to integrate BR-DGE’s capabilities with their own, offering features such as routing, tokenization, fraud monitoring, and data analytics.

Brooklyn Travel’s adoption of BR-DGE’s platform underscores a broader trend among travel merchants seeking to modernize payment systems to meet evolving customer demands. As businesses in the sector continue to diversify their offerings, partnerships like this reflect an effort to enhance operational resilience and maintain competitiveness in a rapidly changing market landscape.
