Breaking News: Global WhatsApp Outage Semi-Paralyzes Instant Messaging of the Financial World

Fazzaco learned that the outage reports of WhatsApp suddenly peaked today around 16:00 GMT+8 (Oct 25, 2022). Users are unable to alter their profile information or privacy settings, send or receive new messages, or join up for WhatsApp, according to the users.
Two web services that monitor the Facebook app, DownDetector and WaBetaInfo, have verified the outage. According to DownDetector, which in a single hour received more than 60,000 user complaints regarding the issue, WhatsApp is currently down everywhere.
Fazzaco also confirms that WhatsApp Web's web client is no longer connecting, and it looks that this outage is also affecting WhatsApp Web. An error message was displayed to Fazzaco team's attempt to use WhatsApp Web, saying "Make sure your computer has an active Internet connection".
WhatsApp + Finance: More Than Instant Messaging
Just like anyone in any line of business, people across financial sectors heavily rely on the app to make instant contact with their solution providers, clients, leads as well as coworkers who are not around.
As WhatsApp broadens the range of services it offers to financial businesses, the WhatsApp Business API is quickly becoming into a platform for conversational commerce, offering banking and financial solutions such as client onboarding, automated follow-ups and customized financial assistance.
The outage has been acknowledged, and WhatsApp's parent firm Meta—better and formerly known as Facebook—is presently working on a repair.
