Breaking: Ukrainian Crypto Investor Found Dead After Market Crash

Authorities in Kyiv are investigating the death of 32-year-old Ukrainian crypto investor Konstantin Galich, whose body was discovered in his Lamborghini on October 11, according to a report by FOX Business. Police said Galich died from a gunshot wound to the head, and a firearm registered in his name was found at the scene.
The incident occurred just a day after a sharp cryptocurrency sell-off, which reportedly followed U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement of 100% tariffs on Chinese imports. CNN reported that the news triggered a $18 billion crypto sell-off, wiping out billions in market value.
Galich, who co-founded the Cryptology Key trading academy, was regarded as a prominent figure in Ukraine's crypto community. Kyiv police noted that he had expressed feelings of depression and financial distress before his death. A statement released by authorities said he had sent farewell messages to relatives and posted online about his financial troubles one day prior.
The crash in crypto markets came after a volatile year for digital assets, which had rallied strongly earlier in 2025 amid renewed political support in the U.S. President Trump, who previously dismissed Bitcoin, had launched his own meme coin and pledged to create a national cryptocurrency reserve — developments that initially boosted investor confidence.
Police have opened an investigation into Galich's death, which remains ongoing. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether foul play is suspected.
