BTIG Appoints Richard Jacklin as Chief Operating Officer of Securities Division

BTIG, a global financial services firm specializing in institutional trading, investment banking, research and related brokerage services, has named Richard Jacklin as Chief Operating Officer of Securities, reporting directly to Scott Kovalik, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BTIG.

In this newly created role, Jacklin will be focused on driving strategic priorities and capitalizing on synergies across the firm's Securities division which is inclusive of equities, fixed income, currency and commodities platforms. Formalizing this new role allows BTIG to better position itself to move forward with new initiatives across the Securities division.

Jacklin has served in several key leadership roles with BTIG in both the U.S. and across the firm's affiliate entities in Europe, Asia and Australia. Prior to this appointment, he served as Head of Client Relationship Management and International Equities at BTIG. His experience often crossing over into other products at the firm outside of the Institutional Equities business. Also, he will maintain his responsibilities and focus on client relationship management, new global initiatives and international trading.

Before joining BTIG, Jacklin was a Principal and Portfolio Manager within Equity, Foreign Exchange and Credit Public Investments at RP Capital Group. Previously, he managed internal equity portfolios for the Equity Strategy division at Merrill Lynch, where he also managed International Emerging Markets Equity Trading.

In October, Fazzaco reported that BTIG has added emerging market debt sales and trading specialist Ben Patch​ to its Fixed Income Credit division, as Managing Director.
