BTIG Names Jennifer Mermel as Chief Strategy Officer and Kyle Czepiel as Chief Operating Officer

The global financial services firm, BTIG, announced Monday (December 4) that Jennifer Mermel has been promoted to the new role of Chief Strategy Officer and Kyle Czepiel has joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer.

Her deep institutional knowledge at the firm is invaluable and in this leadership role she will continue to shape the future of BTIG, ensuring our ability to scale and grow," said Anton LeRoy, Chief Executive Officer of BTIG. "Kyle's experience in market structure, global clearing and capital efficiency will be pivotal to the ever-expanding product offerings at BTIG and we look forward to working together."

In this newly created role as Chief Strategy Officer, Ms. Mermel will expand her role to lead strategic planning and initiatives to ensure that operations are consistently aligned with the firm's goals. Most recently, Ms. Mermel served as the Chief Operating Officer of BTIG, where she was responsible for implementing operational systems, processes, and controls to effectively foster growth and operating efficiency. Previously, she was the Chief of Staff of BTIG, managing the firm's Corporate Communications, Human Resources, Administrative and Real Estate teams, as well as coordinating philanthropic giving.

As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Czepiel will lead the firm's global operations, prime brokerage, and corporate businesses. In addition, he will work closely with the firm's CEO and CFO to optimize capital usage around the globe. Mr. Czepiel joins BTIG from Goldman Sachs where he spent 25 years as a Managing Director. Most recently, he was Head of Sales for Goldman Sachs Global Prime Clearing business. Prior to that, Mr. Czepiel was the CEO of Goldman Sachs Execution & Clearing. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2000 upon their acquisition of Spear, Leeds & Kellogg.
