BUX Introduces Fractional Shares Trading in Europe

BUX, an European neo-broker offering zero commission investing, has introuded fractional shares in Europe to provide full flexibility to traders looking to control exposure in the current volatile climate.
With the addition of access to fractional shares, BUX became the first broker in the Netherlands to offer fractional investing to customers. Clients across Europe can now buy a fraction of the listed shares and start with as little as 10 euros. Moreover, they are able to own a piece of some of the world's most popular shares like Google, Amazon and Tesla.
As detailed in the official announcement, BUX is committed to reducing the barriers to entry into the financial world. Fractional investing is a great tool for portfolio diversification, the company said.
"At BUX, our mission has always been to make investing both accessible and affordable. We began this journey by making it possible to invest with zero commissions, something which was previously not offered in the European market. Today, we are making it even more affordable for Europeans to benefit from investing, not just the wealthy. With the launch of fractional investing, investors with smaller budgets, especially younger generations, can now build a diversified investment portfolio with fractions of stocks from some of the biggest names in global tech, retail and auto," said Yorick Naeff, the CEO of BUX.
In 2021, BUX raised $80 million from a group of top-tier investors backing its mission to become the leading neo-broker in Europe. The funding round was led by Prosus Ventures and Tencent, with participation from additional new investors ABN Amro Ventures, Citius, Optiver, and Endeit Capital. In June 2021, BUX has lauched BUX Zero, a zero-commission investing app, in Ireland. This mobile-only platform allows investors to trade over 2,000 stocks listed on the platform.
Fractional shares have huge potential and traders will be seeking out platforms that are primed to grasp this opportunity. They help smaller investors get involved with buying stock in large companies, which they would likely be left out of if they had come up with the full share price.
The latest product offering expansion shows the rising demand for fractional investing in Europe, marking the next phase of BUX's growth in response to this high-in-demand asset class.
