Bybit Secures Daniel Lim As General Counsel

Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange Bybit announced the appointment of Daniel Lim as its General Counsel. This new addition comes as the derivatives platform decided to shut down UK operations.
In his new role, Daniel will join Bybit compliance team based out of Singapore, where he will be responsible for ensuring adherence to the relevant rules, regulations, and guidelines by which the firm is bound.
Prior to joining Bybit, Daniel previously worked at Daiwa Capital Markets Singapore Ltd as Head of Legal and Compliance. Before this role, ABN AMRO Bank N.V. procured him as Senior Legal Counsel from 2008. HSBC utilised his services as Vice President from 2007 to 2008. He also spent over two years with Kelvin Chia Partnership.
Earlier this month, Fazzaco has reported that Bybit has announced the decision to stop to provide services to customers from the United Kingdom in order to comply with the Financial Conduct Authority's (FCA) ban of crypto derivatives.
