CaixaBank renews partnership with IBM to speed up cloud transformation

CaixaBank has announced an agreement with IBM Services in a bid to speed up the development of digital-first solutions for improving customer experience. The Bank has stated that it will utilise IBM’s Cloud Pak for Applications running on Red Hat OpenShift for facilitating workflow and application management. It will be able to modernise and create applications with increased agility and security while meeting compliance requirements within a hybrid cloud environment.

The IBM Cloud Pak for Applications solution has been designed to assist in the reduction of risk and improve operational resiliency. The companies, partners since 2011, aim to accelerate digital transformation through the renewed partnership. Recently, CaixaBank announced a collaboration with Global Payments through its CaixaBank Payments & Consumer solution in a bid to create a new company in the prepaid services sector.
