Cal Portway Joins Finalto as VP of Institutional Sales

Finalto has appointed Cal Portway as its Vice President of Institutional Sales in Sydney, Australia, expanding the company's leadership team. He has already assumed the position, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Prior to joining Finalto, Portway served for more than three years in the Institutional Sales team at MFP Trading's Sydney office. Additionally, he held the role of FX Agency Execution APAC at the Australian subsidiary of ISAM Capital.

​Portway has spent most of his career working for various top-tier financial services companies in the Asia Pacific region. He began his career at RBC, where he worked for over nine years and climbed up to the position of VP of FX trading. Afterward, he spent four years as an FX trader at TD, and eventually became a Director of FX Trading at CIBC from November 2009 to August 2013. With his expertise, Portway is expected to play a crucial role in Finalto's growth and expansion in the Asia Pacific market.

In response to Portway's appointment, Chris Cotterell, the Managing Director of Finalto Australia, stated that Portway's knowledge and experience makes him a critical addition to the team in Australia. Portway is expected to play a key role in delivering the company's B2B liquidity to clients throughout Australia and the APAC region as the company completes the rollout of its connectivity capabilities in SG3 and NY4.
