CAPEX.com, IG Group, BDSwiss and Other Four Companies Are Hiring Now

Layoffs in the financial industry continued this week, especially in the banking sector.
As part of a companywide overhaul, workers at Citigroup were expected to be informed of the layoffs Wednesday (Nov. 15), with new cuts announced each day through next week. Sources said the cuts include chiefs of staff, managing directors, and some lower-level workers, but will spread to more rank-and-file employees by February.
Another banking giant Wells Fargo has let go of less than 50 bankers from its corporate and investment banking unit as part of year-end pruning.
Manulife Investment Management, an investment management company that achieved substantial profit growth in the third quarter, also announced its layoff plan. The company will cut 250 jobs in its offices in the US, Canada, the UK, and Asia, accounting for 2.5% of its total employees.
In addition, amid the ongoing need to manage costs, global professional services company Accenture has made significant employee-related changes, including layoffs and modifications to compensation structures. To further control costs, its Indian unit announced a temporary hold on salary increases, with exceptions made only when legally required or for critical skill positions.
Given the state of the broader economy, the current employment environment is far from ideal. However, Fazzaco finds there are multiple financial firms, brokerages, fintech and crypto firms in particular, are strengthening their tech, finance or other teams with new hires.
