Capital Index (UK) Registers Slump in Turnover for 2021

Capital Index (UK), a London-based online brokerage specialising in CFDs, financial spread betting and spread trading, has disclosed that its turnover for 2021 stood at £1.71 million, slumping 30% from £2.44 million in 2020.
In terms of net loss after a tax credit for 2021, the figure was £238,796. The broker suffered from an operating loss of £286,889, compared to a gain of £122,150 in the prior year. Besides, its pre-tax loss came in at £300,389, compared to a profit of £108,650 in 2020.
In spite of the decline in activity, Client Money held by Capital Index (UK) grew from £4.5 million in 2020 to £5.5 million at the end of 2021.
