Capital.com Sees Trading Volumes Surge 53% in 2023, Crossing 1 Trillion

London-based retail FX and CFDs broker Capital.com disclosed that the total trading volumes on its platform in 2023 came in at $1.2 trillion, representing a jump of 53 percent from the prior year.
This company noted that this was the the first time client trading volumes have hit the $1 trillion mark since its inception in 2016.
During the first quarter of 2024, global trading volumes on the platform amounted to $337 billion, majority of which came from from clients in the Middle East, followed by Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. This figure increased 12 percent compared to the year-ago quarter. The most traded were indices, followed by commodities.
During the same period, the number of active traders on the platform grew 17 percent on a yearly basis.
Last month, Fazzaco reported that Capital.com has expanded its operations in the MENA region with Category 1 license from the UAE's Securities and Commodities Authority.
