Cboe Clear Europe Names Vikesh Patel as President

Fazzaco learned that Cboe Clear Europe, a leading pan-European clearing house and subsidiary of Cboe Global Markets, Inc., has named Vikesh Patel as the company's President, pending regulatory approval.
According to the official press release, Mr Patel will join Cboe Clear Europe in early 2023. Mr Patel replaces Cécile Nagel, who stepped down from the role in September this year.
Mr. Patel brings with more than 15 years of experience in financial market infrastructure. As seen on his Linkedin profile, Mr. Patel is joining Cboe Clear Europe from SWIFT, where he most recently served as Head of Securites Strategy. He first joined the company as Strategic Relationship Management of Market Infrastructures in September 2017.
Before joining SWIFT, Mr. Patel spent more than 4 years with LCH, where he most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of EquityClear and RepoClear, a position he started in December 2016. Over the course of his career, Mr. Patel also held various role with well-known institutions including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and HM Treasury, the UK Government's economic and finance ministry.
As Fazzaco reported earlier, EuroCCP has rebranded to Cboe Clear Europe in November. Cboe acquired EuroCCP on 1 July 2020, bringing together two companies that have long championed competition, open access and clearing interoperability in Europe.
