The Cboe Futures Exchange (CFE) has announced plans to rebuild its server equipment in a new location within the NY5 data center. The transition, scheduled to take effect on May 3, 2025, will involve the deployment of new server and network hardware. According to a statement from the exchange, this upgrade is anticipated to deliver improved performance for all CFE Trading Privilege Holders (TPHs).

The planned changes include an upgrade to the network infrastructure, encompassing certain switch models and internal uplink bandwidth. Furthermore, the Matching Engines, Order Handlers, and Market Data Systems will be updated to newer generation hardware designed for substantially enhanced performance.

While the new location within the NY5 data center will necessitate a lengthening of the fiber runs from TPH access switches to the CFE server equipment, the exchange has assured users that no changes will be required on their end to accommodate these upgrades.

To allow users to familiarize themselves with the updated environment, the CFE production environment will be accessible for testing on April 12, 2025, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Central Time. This initiative underscores CFE's commitment to providing a robust and efficient trading platform for its participants.
