Cboe Global Markets is set for a significant leadership transition, with Global President Dave Howson stepping down from his role effective August 1, 2025. After three years in Chicago, Howson is returning to the UK to be closer to family.

In response to his departure, the company has expanded the responsibilities of two key executives: Cathy Clay and Chris Isaacson. Clay, Executive Vice President and Global Head of Derivatives, will now also oversee the Cboe Data Vantage business. Isaacson, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, will assume added responsibility for Cash Equities, Global FX, and Clearing, in addition to his current oversight of Technology, Operations, and Risk.

These changes aim to bolster strategic clarity and innovation. Cboe CEO Craig Donohue will take on the title of President following Howson's exit. Donohue expressed confidence in Clay and Isaacson, stating, "I have great confidence in their ability to continue driving innovation and growth in their respective business portfolios."

Howson, reflecting on his time at the firm, said, "While it was a difficult decision to leave this great organization, I am looking forward to returning home...with immense pride in what we have achieved together."
