CF Benchmarks Adds Crypto.com Exchange to Bitcoin and Ether Indices

CF Benchmarks has announced the inclusion of Crypto.com Exchange as a CME CF Constituent Exchange, further strengthening its suite of cryptocurrency pricing benchmarks. Starting March 31, 2025, data from Crypto.com Exchange will contribute to the CME CF Bitcoin-Dollar Indices, Ether-Dollar Indices, and the Ether-Bitcoin Ratio benchmarks.
This expansion increases the number of exchanges feeding into CF Benchmarks' pricing models to eight, improving market representation and pricing accuracy. The Bitcoin Reference Rate (BRR) now incorporates data from platforms covering 98% of global BTC-USD trading, while the Ether-Dollar Reference Rate (ETHUSD_RR) reflects 92% of global ETH-USD trading.
Sui Chung, CEO of CF Benchmarks, highlighted the significance of the move amid rapid growth in crypto financial products. "The past 12 months have seen explosive growth in crypto financial products, highlighted by the launch of spot bitcoin ETFs—one of the most successful debuts in U.S. capital markets history," he noted. "Integrating Crypto.com Exchange enhances the accuracy and resilience of our benchmarks, ensuring they continue as the trusted standard for investors."
For Crypto.com, inclusion in CF Benchmarks represents a milestone in its institutional push. "CF Benchmarks is the industry's most respected and utilized index," said Giuseppe Giuliani, Global Head of Exchange at Crypto.com. "This inclusion is a testament to the hard work we have put into our offering and our leadership role in crypto institutional trading."
As institutional adoption of digital assets grows, the role of standardized pricing benchmarks continues to expand, offering investors greater transparency and reliability in the evolving crypto market.
