CFD Broker Ultima Markets Gains FCA Authorization

CFD broker Ultima Markets announced that it has secured authorization from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), paving the way for its expansion into one of the world's largest and most competitive trading hubs.
The Mauritius-based company said the licence represents a "significant step" in its growth strategy and long-term commitment to regulatory standards in the UK, where an estimated 19 million traders are active in 2024. "We're incredibly proud to take this step," said Gareth Derbyshire, spokesperson for Ultima Markets. "Becoming FCA-regulated reflects our long-term commitment to the UK and its regulatory standards. It sets the tone for what UK traders can expect from us: transparency, integrity, and a clear focus on their trading experience."
While the FCA approval has been secured, the broker plans to begin onboarding UK clients in 2026. By that time, Ultima Markets intends to launch a dedicated UK website, introduce platform features tailored to meet FCA requirements, and implement enhanced compliance systems. "We are taking every measure to meet expectations in full," Derbyshire added. "That means more than just ticking boxes. Our products, education and support are being designed and built for UK traders."
Once operational in the UK, clients will have access to a wide range of CFD instruments, including forex, indices, commodities, and share contracts, through platforms such as MetaTrader 4. The company will also provide educational materials via its Trading Academy to support trader skill development and financial literacy.
Founded in 2016, Ultima Markets is regulated by the Financial Services Commission in Mauritius and is a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact, which promotes responsible business practices and sustainability initiatives. Through its Ultima Impact Foundation, the firm also engages in education and awareness programs relating to sustainable development.
