CFI Appoints Michael O’Sullivan as Senior Technology Advisor

CFI Financial Group has appointed Michael O’Sullivan as Senior Technology Advisor, strengthening its technology leadership as it manages a multi-region trading infrastructure. The Dubai-headquartered broker confirmed the appointment following O’Sullivan’s long career in the retail FX and contracts for differences (CFDs) sector.
The newly created advisory role reports to the chief executive and the executive leadership team. O’Sullivan is tasked with supporting the group’s technology operations across the regions where CFI provides trading services.
Based in London, O’Sullivan brings around 20 years of experience in technology roles within the FX and CFDs industry. According to his professional profile, he joined CFI in October after serving as Chief Technology Officer at Hantec Markets, where he also oversaw technology for the firm’s retail proprietary trading unit, Hantec Trader.
His previous roles include Chief Technology Officer at INFINOX from early 2021, where he contributed to the development of a multi-asset trading platform. Earlier in his career, he held senior positions at ATFX UK as Head of Project Management and spent 15 years at CMC Markets, most recently as Head of Partnerships.
The appointment follows CFI’s recent hiring of former INFINOX executive Vivek Mehta as Chief Technology Officer, indicating a broader expansion of its senior technology team.
Beyond technology leadership changes, CFI has continued to strengthen its regional operations. Late last year, the group promoted Charbel Saleh to Global Head of Business Operations. Around the same period, it expanded its Middle East presence by opening a Bahrain office and appointing Yaseen Alsamerrai to lead the local operation.
