CFTC Grants Seed SEF LLC Request to Withdraw SEF Registration

The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced on Tuesday that it has revoked Seed SEF LLC's swap execution facility (SEF) registration, with effect on December 17, 2021.
The Commission elaborated that the measure taken was at the request of Seed SEF LLC, which has secured registration as a SEF on August 23, 2016.
Pursuant to Commodity Exchange Act and CFTC regulations, a SEF may request that its registration be vacated by filing a request with the CFTC at least 90 days prior to the requested date of vacation.
CFTC noted that with the vacation of Seed SEF LLC's registration as a SEF, there are 20 SEFs registered with it.
