Charles Schwab Announces Promotion of Rick Wurster to President

The Charles Schwab Corporation (Charles Schwab), a US investment platform providing a full range of brokerage, banking and financial advisory services through its operating subsidiaries, announced on Tuesday the promotion of its long-time employee Rick Wurster to President, effective October 15, 2021.

In his new role, Rick will report to Walt Bettinger, CEO of Charles Schwab. Currently, he is Managing Director and Head of Schwab Asset Management. He joined the broker in early 2016, as CEO of Windhaven Investment Management, a branch of the broker, and has worked collaboratively with Walt Bettinger and other executives over the past five years.

Prior to Charles Schwab, Rick served the investment adviser Wellington Management as Portfolio Manager for 10 years, and McKinsey & Company as Associate Principal for 5 years.
