Citi Markets Names Christopher Chan Head of Markets Solutions

Citi Markets has announced the appointment of Christopher Chan as the head of markets solutions for financial institutions across the Asia South and Asia North regions. The appointment is set to become effective in July 2025.

In this new role, Mr. Chan will be responsible for leading the overall strategy for Citi Markets in delivering hedging, financing, and investment solutions to the firm's financial institutions clients within its Markets business in the designated territories.

Mr. Chan brings 28 years of experience in the markets and Debt Capital Markets (DCM) sectors to his new position. He joins Citi from Goldman Sachs, where he spent a decade. His roles at Goldman Sachs included serving as head of Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities (FICC) and equity distribution for Southeast Asia, as well as being a board member of Goldman Sachs Singapore. He has also held various senior banking roles at Deutsche Bank and Nomura earlier in his career.
