Clearstream and Brookfield partnership expands access to private market funds via Clearstream's distribution platform

Clearstream, Deutsche Börse Group's post-trade business, and Brookfield, a global alternative asset manager, have announced a partnership to expand investor access to private market funds. Under the collaboration, Brookfield's Luxembourg-domiciled evergreen private market funds—covering infrastructure, private credit and private equity—will be available through Clearstream's fund distribution platform.

The integration is part of Clearstream's strategy to facilitate access to private markets. By connecting Brookfield's fund suite to Clearstream's distribution and order-routing infrastructure, fund distributors, private banks and wealth managers can access alternative funds with the same standardization, operational efficiency and settlement ease typically associated with mutual funds.

For Brookfield, which manages approximately $1 trillion in assets, the agreement broadens its reach across global wealth management networks through Clearstream's connectivity. It enables private wealth clients to incorporate Brookfield's alternative investments into their core, diversified portfolio strategies.

Moritz Dechow, Head of Distribution for Clearstream Fund Services, said the partnership supports the company's ambition to empower wealth managers and distributors with tools to navigate alternative investments, adding that standardizing access and removing operational complexity allows distributors to deliver diversified private market solutions efficiently.

Tara Newbery, Managing Director in the Legal and Regulatory group for Brookfield's Private Wealth group, said Clearstream's reach across global private banking and wealth channels, combined with its operational infrastructure, makes it an ideal partner. She added that the two firms aim to make Brookfield's institutional-quality private market strategies a standard component of wealth portfolios.
