Clearstream Enhances Settlement Prediction Tool Ahead of T+1 Transition

Clearstream, part of Deutsche Börse Group, has introduced upgrades to its Settlement Prediction Tool to help clients prepare for the shift toward T+1 settlement cycles. The enhancements use artificial intelligence to flag potential settlement issues and estimate penalty costs days in advance.
By analyzing transaction data and historical settlement behavior, the tool can now identify at-risk transactions up to four business days ahead of settlement. This aims to give market participants sufficient time to resolve potential issues before they lead to financial penalties.
According to Clearstream, the tool will offer "enhanced visibility and control" over settlement workflows. The improvements are designed to help firms reduce operational risk, improve efficiency, and better allocate resources as tighter regulatory timelines come into effect.
The move forms part of Clearstream's ongoing strategy to support institutions in adapting to regulatory change and evolving post-trade requirements.
