Clearstream Posts 1% Yearly Increase in Total Assets Under Custody in July

Clearstream, a leading European provider of post-trade services which is wholly owned by Deutsche Börse, has released its monthly figures for July 2022, indicating slight increase in its total assets under custody.
More specifically, the company posted that its assets under custody hit EUR 16,528 billion, 1% higher than the previous year's EUR 16,380 billion.
Regarding the international business (ICSD), the number of securities deposits approached EUR 7,911 billion, up 8% than the prior year's EUR 7,339 billion. However, the number of transactions declined 9% to 5.3 million.
In terms of Clearstream's domestic business (CSD), the number of securities deposits came in at EUR 5,426 billion, 6% lower than the same period in 2021. Moreover, the number of transactions stood at 12.6million, decreased by 9% on a YoY basis.
In addition, as for the investment funds services (IFS), the number of securities deposits reached EUR 3,192 billion, showing a decrease of 3% compared to July 2021. Furthermore, the number of transactions decreased by 4% to 3.4 million.
