Clearstream Reports Monthly Figures for July 2021

Clearstream, a leading European provider of post-trade services which is wholly owned by Deutsche Börse, has released its monthly figures for July 2021, unveiling that its assets under custody reached EUR 16,380 billion, with a 12% increase compared to that of last July at EUR 14,650 billion.
In terms of Clearstream’s international business (ICSD), the number of securities deposits stood at EUR 7,339 billion, raising by YoY 4%. And the number of transactions deceased by YoY 4% at 5.8 million.
Regarding the domestic business (CSD), the firm posted EUR 5,760 billion in securities deposits, enjoying a YoY increase of 17%. Besides, the number of transactions was 13.9 million, up YoY 7%.
In addition, as for the investment funds services (IFS), the firm detailed that the figure of securities deposits hit EUR 3,280 billion, showing a sharp YoY surge of 23%. And the number of transactions was 3.5 million, up 10% compared to that of last July.
In April, Fazzaco reported that Clearstream has secured the CSDR licences for Clearstream Banking S.A., its international central securities depository (ICSD).
