CLS Releases June 2023 Trading Data: Average Daily Forex Volume Reaches $2.07 Trillion, Up 4.4% Year-on-Year

Continuous Linked Settlement (CLS), a forex settlement and aggregation service company, released its forex trading data for June 2023. The data shows that the average daily forex volume (ADTV) reached $2.07 trillion, up 4.4% year-on-year compared to June 2022. The ADTV data for different types of forex transactions are as follows: 

The ADTV of forward forex transactions in June 2023 was $0.184 trillion, up 17.95% month-on-month compared to $0.156 trillion in May 2023; up 34.31% year-on-year compared to $0.137 trillion in June 2022. 

The ADTV of swap forex transactions in June 2023 was $1.409 trillion, up 8.3% month-on-month compared to $1.301 trillion in May 2023; up 5.07% year-on-year compared to $1.341 trillion in June 2022. 

The ADTV of spot forex transactions in June 2023 was $0.476 trillion, up 9.17% month-on-month compared to $0.436 trillion in May 2023; but down 5.37% year-on-year compared to $0.503 trillion in June 2022.
