CLS Witnesses 12.3% Yearly Increase in FX ADTV for January 2023

Continuous Linked Settlement (CLS), a New York company which offers settlement and aggregation services for the forex industry, released its fx trading data in January 2023, reporting an increase of 12.3% in total average daily traded volume (ADTV) submitted to CLS for the month on a YoY basis.
According to the data report, the ADTV submitted to the company reached $1.913 trillion, up 1.9% compared to $1.878 trillion in January 2022 and up 12.3% compared to $1.704 trillion in the prior month.
ADTV for forex forwards surged to $138 billion, an increase of 30.0% compared to $107 billion in December 2022 and an increase of 46.8% compared to $94 billion in the same period of last year.
CLS' FX swap volumes came in at $1.310 trillion per day, rising 10.3% compared to $1.188 trillion in last month but dropping slightly of 1.4% compared to $1.329 trillion in January 2022.
In terms of FX spot volumes, the group has reported the figure at $465 billion per day, up 2.2% compared to $455 billion in last January and up 13.7% compared to $409 billion in December 2022.
