CMC Invest Launches Native AI Engine as Client Adoption Surges

The Australian division of CMC Markets has launched a dedicated AI investment engine in partnership with technology firm Telescope AI. The tool, named CMC Intelligence, is designed to help investors analyze market movements and review portfolios.

The launch follows a broker survey revealing that 23% of its stock brokerage clients now use AI for investing, a significant increase from 12% just six months ago. The new engine provides insights across stocks, ETFs, and cryptocurrencies in markets including Australia, the US, Singapore, New Zealand, and the UK.

Ryan O'Doherty, Head of Product for CMC Invest APAC, stated the product addresses the investor challenge of maintaining clarity in volatile markets, which often requires monitoring fragmented information from multiple sources. He said AI solutions shift the focus to synthesis, transforming complex analysis into actionable insights.

The move places CMC among a growing list of brokers integrating AI tools. Others, including IG and Robinhood, have enabled connections to third-party AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT, with varying levels of trade execution permissions.

CMC stated that insights from its AI agents are generated using verified market data, corporate filings, and regulatory disclosures. Luc Pettett, CEO of Telescope AI, noted that CMC approached AI as core infrastructure that changes how investors engage with markets, rather than as a simple feature add-on.
