CMC Markets has announced a series of executive appointments at its Singapore hub, which are set to enhance the company's leadership across Asia. Although most of these decisions were finalized in 2024, the official promotions and additions were unveiled as the brokerage firm entered 2025.

Christopher Forbes has been promoted to the role of Head of Asia, overseeing the company's operations across three brands: CMC Markets, CMC Invest, and CMC Connect, its institutional division. Forbes, who assumed his new position on 1 September 2024, was previously Head of the Singapore entity that operated CMC Invest in the region.

Lord Peter Cruddas, Founder and CEO of CMC Markets, commented on Forbes' promotion, saying, "Christopher's track record speaks volumes about his ability to grow and scale businesses while prioritising client experience. His leadership in Singapore has been a defining chapter for CMC, and we are excited to see him bring the same vision and energy to the broader Asia region."

In addition to Forbes' appointment, the company has promoted Melissa Lwee-Ramsay to Head of Marketing for Asia, and Daphne Tan to Business Development Director. Lwee-Ramsay has been with CMC since mid-2022, while Tan joined the firm in February 2019.

To further bolster its Singapore operations, CMC Markets has hired several new executives. Lee Jia Yi has been appointed as Head of Distribution. Lee joins from Axi, where she served as Head of Sales for the Asia-Pacific region for seven years. Notably, this is her second tenure at CMC Markets, having previously worked with the company in a sales capacity for approximately three years.

Annie Lai has also been brought on board as a Sales Trader in the Singapore office. Lai, who joined the brokerage in October 2024, brings nearly a decade of experience, having worked with firms such as Aquariux Fintech, LMAX Group, and FXCM.

Ravinder Kaur has been appointed as the Institutional Business Development Manager. Kaur, who joined CMC in February 2024, has an extensive background, having previously worked at IG Singapore, Haitong International Securities, Blackwell Global, and HSBC.
