CMC Markets Expands Global Presence with New Office in Warsaw
CMC Markets has announced the opening of a new office in Warsaw, Poland, as part of its ongoing global expansion strategy. The broker's decision to set up operations in the Polish capital follows its recent expansion in Bermuda, where it received regulatory approval from the Bermuda Monetary Authority to conduct investment and digital asset business.
According to the company, Warsaw was selected for its “strong talent market, deep specialist expertise, and seamless collaboration with global teams,” factors that align with CMC Markets’ long-term growth ambitions. The new office will support the company's global business operations, helping to enhance its capabilities across multiple areas of the business.
David Fineberg, Managing Partner at CMC Markets, and Łukasz Wardyn, Executive Director overseeing operations in Poland, led the launch event in Warsaw. The company emphasized that it would continue to grow its presence in Poland and build on its capabilities across the group.
This move follows other recent developments within CMC Markets, including the departure of Toby Morris, Head of Sales Trading & Execution, after 13 years with the company. Morris, who played a significant role in developing the Sales Trading desk, is the latest in a series of senior leadership exits that have affected the company in the past 18 months.
CMC Markets has also been dealing with external challenges, including a phishing campaign targeting Australian clients. The campaign, which involves fraudulent emails impersonating CMC Markets and other financial institutions, appears to be aimed at high-net-worth individuals and has raised concerns about cybersecurity threats.
Despite these challenges, the company continues to pursue its global expansion efforts, with the new Warsaw office marking a significant step in supporting its business ambitions.
