CME Group alters dates of BrokerTec onto CME Globex

CME Group Inc (NASDAQ:CME) announced it has altered the dates of BrokerTec onto CME Globex with the aim of allowing additional time for client readiness in the current environment.

BrokerTec EU markets will launch on CME Globex on Monday, January 18, 2021. BrokerTec US markets will launch on CME Globex on Monday, February 1, 2021.

APIs for BrokerTec on CME Globex are now available for client testing. Client systems must certify for all applicable APIs before participating in any mock trading session. 

The primary matching engines for BrokerTec US will be in the Equinix data center in Secaucus, New Jersey. The backup engines will be located in Aurora, IL for US Treasury Actives, and Equinix Slough for US Repo markets. The primary matching engines for BrokerTec EU will be in the Equinix data center in Slough, UK. The backup engines will be located in Equinix Secaucus.

This approach will help ease the customer transition by reducing the number of changes, and will maintain the look and feel of the BrokerTec application that customers are accustomed to using.

BrokerTec market data will be available on the CME Market Data Platform (MDP) as the new CME MDP Premium service. New iCross connections will be required, and customers will be provided with the explicit configuration required. BrokerTec on CME Globex will also support conflated market data over multicast UDP (CME MDP Conflated) and over TCP (CME MDP TCP).
