CME Group Posts Financial Results for Q2 2021

CME Group, the world’s leading and most diverse derivatives marketplace, recently posted its financial results for the second quarter of 2021.
More specifically, the group reported a revenue of $1.2 billion, and an operating income of $675 million in Q2 this year. Net income came in at $510 million and diluted earnings per share stood at $1.42.

On an adjusted basis, net income reached $589 million and diluted earnings per share were $1.64.
In addition, the ADV for Q2 was 18.4 million contracts, including non-U.S. ADV of 5.2 million contracts.
Clearing and transaction fees revenue for the quarter approached $930 million. The total average rate per contract was $0.695. Market data revenue totaled $145 million for second-quarter 2021.
As Fazzaco reported earlier, CME Group has releases new regulations for Exchange Personal Trading Policy. The Regulation sets protections for the use of material, non-public information obtained by connected people of self-regulatory bodies in their official capacity.
