CME Migrates BrokerTec EU Government Bond and EU Repo Trading Platform to CME Globex

U.S. derivatives giant CME Group announced that BrokerTec, an electronic trading platforms and technology services provider in fixed income markets, has successfully completed the migration of its European government bonds and repo trading platform to CME Globex, the global markets company's premier electronic trading system.
BrokerTec was acquired by CME Group in November 2018. The BrokerTec EU government bonds and repo platform is the first of BrokerTec's electronic trading platforms to migrate to CME Globex. The migration of BrokerTec's U.S. treasury and repo trading platform is expected to commence on February 1, 2021.
According to John Edwards, Global Head of BrokerTec, this migration will enable market participants to view and trade the world's most liquid listed interest rate derivatives as well as cash bonds and repos on the same technology framework. It is a key step to give market participants access to greater operational efficiencies. This will allow BrokerTec to deliver greater value to customers in the fixed income markets by innovating and developing new products and services.
