CME Reports 100k+ Contracts of Micro Ether Futures Volume

Micro Ether futures volume topped 100,000 contracts in the first two weeks of trading, according to CME Group, an international derivatives marketplace.
The CME Micro Ether futures are cash-settled and are based on the CME CF Ether-Dollar Reference Rate, which is a daily reference rate for the price of Ether in US dollars. Micro Ether futures are traded on the CME and are governed by its regulations.
"Participation in our Micro Ether futures contract has grown rapidly since its launch two weeks ago, and we are encouraged by the strong customer adoption and support thus far. At 1/500th the size or our larger Ether futures, this new, smaller contract allows traders of all sizes to better manage their Ether price risk in an efficient, cost-effective way," said Tim McCourt, CME Group Global Head of Equity Index and Alternative Investment Products.
Fazzaco earlier reported that CME has launched Micro Ether futures to further expand its suite of cryptocurrency derivatives offerings.
