Coinbase Launches TRUSThub to Expand Travel Rule Data Exchange
Coinbase has announced the launch of TRUSThub, an extension of its core TRUST Solution designed to simplify integration and expand secure connectivity for Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs). TRUSThub enables members to exchange Travel Rule data with global counterparties irrespective of their existing compliance tools.
Built on TRUST's privacy-first, peer-to-peer model, the new hub aims to broaden counterparty coverage and help bridge regulatory implementation gaps across jurisdictions. It also streamlines the integration process, allowing VASPs to more rapidly utilize the TRUST network for worldwide data sharing.
The TRUST network, an industry-led initiative, facilitates the secure exchange of Travel Rule information between verified VASPs. It currently connects hundreds of service providers across dozens of countries and continues to expand its global footprint.
Membership is growing in key markets including the EU, UK, Australia, India, Brazil, the US, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Switzerland, and the UAE. This global connectivity allows VASPs to transact compliantly while navigating cross-border differences in regulatory thresholds and data requirements.
Coinbase also confirmed BNY's membership in the TRUST network, joining other prominent firms such as BitGo, Circle, Fidelity Digital Assets, Gemini, Kraken, PayPal, and Paxos. Furthermore, TRUST has partnered with software provider 21 Analytics to expedite integration for VASPs using its automation tools.
