Milana joins the company from Google, where she spent for more than 13 years, and most recently served as Senior Director. In her new role, Milana will be responsible for leading the product and commercial legal team at Coinbase.

Milana stated: “I’m delighted to have joined Coinbase. Its mission, culture and potential reminds me a lot of Google 13 years ago.”

Prior to the appointment, Katherine was the General Counsel at Dyson since October 2019. During her career, Katherine was also served as chief administrative officer and general counsel of e-commerce company Cleverbridge. Before that, she worked at Bartlit Beck Herman Palenchar & Scott LLP for more than 10 years.

“It’s not every job in our profession where you get to tackle new issues of law and try to change the world every day, but that’s exactly what I get to do here. I’m thrilled to be part of the Coinbase team,” Katherine said in a statement.

Milana and Katherine are the latest hires at Coinbase to come from the legal departments of large corporations. In July, the company brought on Paul Grewal as its second chief legal officer.

Recently, the exchange plans to unveil Coinbase Card, a Visa debit card funded by Coinbase balance, for U.S. customers.
